Edinburgh match set for Monday

Edinburgh's Heineken Cup Pool One clash with Castres has been rescheduled for Monday and will be played behind closed doors at Murrayfield due to adverse weather.

Heavy snow forced the postponement of the match, which was scheduled to kick off at 2pm on Sunday.

But now the match will take place 24 hours later.

A statement from Heineken Cup organisers European Rugby Cup read: "The Round Four match between Edinburgh and Castres Olympique is now scheduled to take place tomorrow, Monday, December 20, at Murrayfield at 2pm.

"Due to concerns regarding the areas around the pitch, no spectators will be admitted to the stadium. Media will, however, be admitted."

Glasgow Warriors' Heineken Cup match in Toulouse has also been rearranged for Tuesday, December 21.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday but the weather caused travel problems for the Scottish side and the fixture was then rearranged for Sunday afternoon.

However, the team's equipment was also delayed and the match postponed.

It will now be played on Tuesday at 6pm (7pm local time).
