Alex Corbisiero is hoping to return to the England side this weekend and help deliver the win he believes the country are owed.

The London Irish prop looked to have established himself as the country's first-choice loosehead during this year's RBS 6 Nations but then missed the end of the domestic season through injury.

Corbisiero said: "This weekend is a big challenge for us and we want to walk away finishing this tour on a high note."

The 23-year-old underwent a biceps operation in April and then jarred a knee soon after arrival in South Africa for this month's three-Test series against the Springboks.

That cost him a place in the side for the first Test defeat in Durban and he could only make the bench for the loss in Johannesburg last week.

He now looks set to regain his starting berth as England attempt to salvage some pride in the final game at Port Elizabeth's Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

He added: "We have had two tough defeats but there have been some real positives in those games.

"We want to close out a win - it would be massive for the boys.

"There has been so much hard work, so much effort has gone in. We are gelling as a team.

"We owe it to ourselves and owe it to the country to get that win."
