Hanks promises Wasps reaction

Tony Hanks has promised a reaction from Wasps when they meet another of the Aviva Premiership's underperforming sides at Adams Park.

The High Wycombe-based club launched the season with a draw against Harlequins before succumbing 29-17 at Newcastle last weekend. Hanks accepts it is a poor start but hopes a home showdown with old foes Leicester will inspire the necessary improvement.

"After a good pre-season there is obviously disappointment with results in the first two weeks of the Premiership," he said. "In true Wasps style we've worked hard in training and have focused on ensuring we are more clinical at key moments. In terms of the game this week, it is our first at Adams Park, it's Wasps against Leicester and we don't really need to say much more than that."

He added: "No one is more critical on the way we perform than the team themselves.

"Everyone is determined to get the right result and deliver a performance that the supporters can really be excited by."

England centre Dominic Waldouck returns for Wasps after recovering from a hand laceration.
