Kitchener to leave Worcester

Worcester have announced their highly-rated England Saxons lock Graham Kitchener will leave Sixways at the end of this season.

Kitchener, who is understood to have attracted interest from several Aviva Premiership clubs, is currently part of Worcester's promotion push to regain top-flight status.

Worcester head coach Richard Hill said: "He is an outstanding professional, and I have no doubt that he will continue to conduct himself in the right manner and do everything he possibly can to help the club gain promotion."

Kitchener added: "This was a very tough decision to make as I feel a great sense of loyalty to everyone at the club who has helped me to progress from an early age.

"However, after much deliberation, I feel the time is right to give myself a new challenge."

Worcester announced the signing of Harlequins prop Ceri Jones earlier this week, with further new arrivals set to be revealed as they prepare for this season's Championship play-offs.
