Kobus van Wyk secures victory for Stormers over Cheetahs

The Stormers kept their hopes of a home Super Rugby quarter-final clash alive with a 31-24 victory over the Cheetahs in Cape Town.

Daniel du Plessi's try just before half-time gave the hosts a 14-9 lead after team-mate and namesake Jean-Luc du Plessi and Fred Zelinga traded three penalties apiece.

The lead was extended further when Leolin Zas touched down two minutes into the second half only for tries for Paul Schoeman and Sergeal Petersen to set up a tense finish which was eventually decided by Kobus van Wyk's race to the line in the 63rd minute.
