Morrison plays waiting game

Uncertainty remains over the exact nature of Graeme Morrison's knee injury, with the Scotland centre ruled out for Glasgow Warriors' Magners League clash with Edinburgh on Sunday.

Morrison damaged a knee early on as the Warriors defeated Edinburgh 30-18 last Monday in the first of back-to-back Greaves Sports 1872 Cup games.

The prognosis for the 28-year-old is unknown, with Scotland's RBS 6 Nations campaign beginning in France on February 5.

Glasgow head coach Sean Lineen told the club website: "It's not as serious as we first thought but I'm not an expert on that so we just have to wait and see.

"I don't know how long he's going to be out but as I understand it at the moment, it's weeks rather than months.

"He's a crucial player for us and for Scotland. I really feel for him.

"He's been playing really well for us, but he'll get the best treatment and he'll be back as soon as we can get him back."
