Munster ace Casey is set for pastures new with Grenoble

By Cian Tracey

Munster hooker Duncan Casey is set to join Grenoble. The 27-year-old has started just one game this season and having battled with injury over recent years, it is understood that he had considered retirement before Grenoble came in with an offer.

The French club, who were previously coached by Bernard Jackman and Mike Prendergast, are pushing for promotion back to the Top 14 and are currently fourth in the Pro D2 table.

Since making his debut in 2013, Casey has played 46 times for Munster but his time at his home province is now nearing an end.

The Cork native is being looked at as a 'medical joker' and could move to France as early as this week to link up with new team-mates.
