New name for Celtic League

The Celtic League will be renamed the RaboDirect PRO12 next season following a change of sponsor.

The online banking arm of Rabobank, an international financial services provider, has replaced Magners for the naming rights in a four-year contract.

The presence of two Italian teams in the competition means it can no longer be called the 'Celtic League'.

League chief John Feehan said: "Our competition has experienced a huge growth over the last few years and it was time to move it to the next level."
