Northampton cruise past Dragons

Northampton were much too strong for a very poor Dragons side, winning 28-3 at Franklin's Gardens in an uninspiring LV= Cup tie.

The visitors' scrum was a hapless affair and they lost three front-row players to the sin-bin during the course of the game, resulting in uncontested scrums.

Paul Diggin, Calum Clark and Stephen Myler crossed for the Saints but they could not score a fourth try and earn a valuable bonus point.
