Ospreys sign Fiji forward
Ospreys have boosted their depleted forward ranks with the signing of Fiji international second row Tevita Cavubati until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old will help provide competition to Alun Wyn Jones and Rynier Bernardo who - with Lloyd Peers and De Kock Steenkamp both long-term injury victims - are the only senior specialist locks available to the Guinness PRO12 leaders.
The 6ft 7in, 19st Cavubati helped his club Tasman Makos reach the ITM Cup Final this year and has won four caps for Fiji, one of which came during last month's narrow 17-13 defeat to Wales in Cardiff.
Cavubati, who joined up with his new team-mates this week, said on www.ospreysrugby.com: "This is a great opportunity for me and I'm really excited and looking forward to it.
"Having played against Wales at the Millennium Stadium in the autumn internationals I know what quality players there are at the Ospreys and how Welsh supporters get behind their team.
"This is a busy time of year in the PRO12 so hopefully I'll settle in quickly and be able to play a part for the team."
