Ulster continue unbeaten start to season with victory over Scarlets

By Adam McKendry

Ulster continued their unbeaten start to the season as they came out on top of a thrilling 27-20 clash with defending league champions the Scarlets in the Guinness PRO14.

John Andrew scored with four minutes to play to decide the game and send the Kingspan crowd wild, with Jacob Stockdale also crossing, while John Cooney and Christian Leali'ifano added 17 points from the boot between them.

The Scarlets were kept in it by Leigh Halfpenny, who kicked everything he attempted, while Johnny McNicholl and British and Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies also crossed for the visitors.

The win puts Ulster top of Conference B for the time being, and maintains their 100% start to the season which will delight Les Kiss given they were missing five of their front line starts - Rory Best, Iain Henderson, Marcell Coetzee, Jean Deysel and Charles Piutau.

We're at Kingspan Stadium and will keep you fully updated with all the action live and right here:
