Rookie Harlequins prop Joe Marler is among four players to have been called into the England squad as injury cover ahead of the autumn internationals.

Marler, 20, linked up with the squad at Pennyhill Park to deputise for Bath tight-head David Wilson, who has a sore back.

Saracens' Brad Barritt has been called up to cover for Riki Flutey (calf), Dan Ward-Smith is drafted in after his Wasps team-mate Simon Shaw suffered a calf injury, while Northampton Saints flanker Tom Wood joins up with the squad in the absence of Leeds flanker Hendrie Fourie (bruised ribs).

Martin Johnson's squad arrived in camp on Sunday night ahead of their opening Investec international against New Zealand on November 6 at Twickenham.
