Reddan fitness concern for Ireland

Eoin Reddan is Ireland's solitary fitness concern heading into their RBS 6 Nations clash against England on Saturday.

The Leinster scrum-half lasted less than a minute of his team's 19-13 loss to Wales at the Millennium Stadium three days ago. He suffered concussion when the ball struck him full in the face as he tried to block a clearance kick from Wales full-back Lee Byrne.

Reddan was replaced by Peter Stringer, and he is being monitored by Ireland's medical team in addition to seeing a neurologist this week as part of the injury management process.

Ireland say Reddan is not being ruled out of contention for the England game at this stage.

Coach Declan Kidney is due to name his starting line-up on Wednesday.
