Reds prop Slipper cited

Reds prop James Slipper has been summoned to appear before a SANZAR judicial hearing for a dangerous tackle on Lions hooker Bandise Maku during the Queensland side's Super Rugby win in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Slipper was sin-binned in the sixth minute of the game for his tackle on Maku and he has now been cited and his hearing will be held on Monday

The tackle is alleged to have breached foul play law 10.4 (j) by lifting a player off the ground and then driving him into the ground while his feet are still in the air.
