Scarlets pair pen new deals
The Scarlets have announced new deals for Wales internationals Liam Williams and Ken Owens.
Williams' deal comes a day after the full-back apologised ''for any offence'' caused after he dressed up as Swansea City's Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony.
The 23-year-old was pictured in a Swansea kit - alongside three of his Scarlets colleagues - on Twitter, wearing full face paint. It is understood that Bony gave the costume his blessing.
And in a statement posted on Williams' personal Twitter account, he said: ''I am very sorry for any offence caused by my actions.
''I'm not a racist and there was no malice behind it.''
Williams and 27-year-old hooker Owens have amassed more than 240 Scarlets appearances between them.
Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac said: " Retaining players of both Ken and Liam's experience and quality at the Scarlets is vitally important for the future of this region.
"Having experienced players, with great leadership qualities and genuine passion for our region, commit their futures to Parc-y-Scarlets reinforces our intentions and ambitions to compete on the highest level and continue to strive to reach our potential."
