Victoria College inspired by women's Six Nations triumph

By Staff Reporter

Enniskillen Collegiate have won the Ulster Girls' Schools' Cup in five of the past six years and start favourites against Victoria College at the Kingspan (1.30pm).

However, the Belfast girls hope that the influence of Ireland's Six Nations win at the weekend can inspire them to their own memorable success.

"The girls are really looking forward to playing at Kingspan which is a reward for all their work," said coach Pat Stewart.

"Most of the girls were watching the internationals at the weekend and that has inspired them to do their best in the final.

"We know we go in as underdogs but I know the girls will give their best."

Enniskillen coach Dee Colvin hopes that his side's experience can see them through to another trophy triumph.

"We have a number of last season's winning team back and our captain is Kathryn Bane, who has been involved with the Irish under-19 squad," she said.
