Wales lose lock Jones

Wales were on Tuesday night forced to rule Alun Wyn Jones out of their plans for the remainder of the RBS 6 Nations Championship as the second-row forward was sent for surgery.

Jones will undergo an operation on Wednesday on the elbow he injured in Saturday's stunning victory over Scotland at the Millennium Stadium.

The Welsh Rugby Union announced Jones suffered a chipped bone and ligament damage, and will be out for six to 12 weeks.
