Stoddart to learn his fate

Morgan Stoddart will learn his fate ahead of this weekend's Heineken Cup games following his red card during Scarlets' defeat at Clermont Auvergne on Saturday.

The Scarlets wing was sent off after 37 minutes of the 49-16 defeat at the Stade Marcel Michelin following a second yellow card from referee Peter Fitzgibbon which effectively ended the Welsh side's hopes of an upset.

Antony Davies has been appointed as the independent Judicial Officer and he will consider the matter by means of written submissions, the ERC said in a statement.

The decision will then be communicated in advance of this weekend's Round Two matches with Scarlets set to host Leinster.
