Thomas seals Wasps switch

Aviva Premiership strugglers Wasps have continued with their signings for next season by recruiting centre Lee Thomas from French club Lyon.

Wasps have confirmed that Welshman Thomas will follow the likes of Tom Palmer, James Haskell and Rhys Thomas to Adams Park.

Thomas, 27, moved to Lyon in 2010 after spending four seasons with Sale Sharks. He previously played for Cardiff Blues and captained Wales at various age-group levels.

Wasps rugby director Dai Young said: "Lee is a hard-hitting centre who will bring something different to our midfield.

"He has plenty of experience in this league and he will be a very good addition to our squad, especially considering he can also cover fly-half and kicking duties very effectively."
