London Welsh celebrate winning the Championship last season

The Rugby Football Union has confirmed that three Championship semi-finalists have satisfied minimum standards criteria for Aviva Premiership entry next season.

Bristol, Worcester and Rotherham have been given the green light for home grounds at Ashton Gate, Sixways and Barnsley's Oakwell Stadium, respectively.

London Scottish, who are also through to the play-offs, had already confirmed they did not want to be promoted and therefore did not apply for the audit.

The semi-finals begin this weekend, with Scottish tackling Worcester and Bristol facing Rotherham over two legs. The home and away final is scheduled for May 20 and 27.

London Welsh will drop out of the Premiership if Bristol, Worcester or Rotherham win the Championship.

Another wicket gone for England. Gary Ballance is clean bowled by Jason Holder for 18 from 46 balls. England now 38 for two.

Meanwhile, in Sheffield, Bingham leads Trump 7-5 as the first four frames of the day are split.
