Ulster Clubs Under-19s crush sorry Schools

Ulster Clubs Under-19s beat their Ulster Schools counterparts 51-38 at Bladon Drive yesterday.

The Niall Malone and Andy Ward-coached victors scored nine tries, converting three on what was a perfect warm-up for Saturday, September 11 when they are scheduled to host the Irish Exiles at Shaw’s Bridge.

Rory Harrison, Nathan Mawhinney, Zac Divine, James McMahon, captain Jamie Kirk and Jonny Ogleby shone in the Clubs’ colours.

Meanwhile Ireland’s hopes of taking fifth place in the Women’s World Cup ended yesterday with USA avenging their 22-12 Pool B stage defeat by trouncing the Irish 40-3 in the Surrey Sports Park.
