Glasgow v Ulster team news: Stockdale and Marshall start as Ulster make five changes for PRO14 trip
Jacob Stockdale and Luke Marshall will both start for Ulster in tomorrow night's Guinness PRO14 tie against Glasgow Warriors (kick-off 7.35pm).
Ulster will be without Ireland duo Iain Henderson and Rory Best, the captain missing out through the ankle injury that threatens to rule him out for up to six weeks.
Also sitting out are Robert Baloucoune and Nick Timoney while Darren Cave drops to the bench as Dan McFarland makes five changes to his starting side.
Marshall, who made a try-scoring impact on his return from a long-term injury lay-off last weekend, replaces Cave to start his first game of the season at outside centre while Stockdale is straight back in as he aims to bounce back from his missed chance in the European quarter-final defeat to Leinster.
He will be partnered on the wings by Rob Lyttle, who deputises for Baloucoune, while Michael Lowry completes the back three. Marshall is joined in the midfield by Stuart McCloskey.
The half-back pairing of John Cooney and Billy Burns is retained once more but there are three changes in the pack.
Rob Herring, as expected, takes Rory Best's place at hooker and Alan O'Connor returns to captain the side in Henderson's second-row berth. Eric O'Sullivan and Marty Moore complete the front row with Treadwell partnering O'Connor in behind.
In the back line, Sean Reidy joins Jordi Murphy and Marcell Coetzee with Timoney making way.
The province are aiming to secure a home quarter-final by finishing second in conference B and currently sit in the runners-up spot, four points ahead of Benetton and seven clear of Edinburgh with three games to go.
John Andrew, Andy Warwick and Tom O’Toole will cover the front row on the bench, with Ian Nagle and Matthew Rea named as the additional forward replacements. David Shanahan, Cave and Angus Kernohan will provide the backline options.
Meanwhile, former Ulster winger Tommy Seymour returns from a rib injury to start for Glasgow at 14 opposite fellow winger Niko Matawalu as the hosts make six changes following their European defeat to Saracens. Scotland star Stuart Hogg holds his place at full-back.
Adam Ashe and Chris Fusaro come in to the back line while Rob Harley and Jonny Gray form a new lock pairing.
