Seven Ulster players have been included in Ireland's squad for the upcoming World Rugby U20 Championships.
The tournament takes place in France and kicks off on May 30. Ireland will take on their hosts, Georgia and South Africa in their Pool C matches and included in the panel are five Ulster forwards and two backs.
Tom O'Toole started Ulster's Champions Cup play-off victory on Sunday and he's been included along with Matthew Agnew, Matthew Dalton, Joe Dunleavy and Aaron Hall. Backs James Hume and Jonny Stewart have also been called up by head coach Noel McNamara. Angus Curtis misses out through injury.
The 28-man squad will be captained by Leinster’s Caelan Doris.
"It’s an exciting time for the players and management as we prepare to head to the south of France for the U20 World Championships," said coach McNamara.
"There’s a lot of talent in this squad and the players are all preparing well. We’re up against three physical sides in our pool, and with France up first, it will be a great test for the players on the opening day of the tournament and something that everyone is looking forward to."
