Tommy Bowe: Let's kick on and silence Clermont roar

By Jonathan Bradley

Ulster star Tommy Bowe says the province can quieten the ear-splitting atmosphere of Clermont's Stade Marcel Michelin tomorrow afternoon (3.05pm kick-off).

Les Kiss's men would be well on course for the Champions Cup last eight should they secure an away win in the Auvergne and beat the Top 14 leaders for the second time in eight days.

And Bowe, who has played in the venue before with Ospreys, thinks he and his team-mates are ready for the hostile atmosphere.

"I've been lucky to play in a few of the French grounds but Clermont is right up there," he said.

"They're very passionate supporters and the atmosphere when they get their tails up, they can get on the opposition's back.

"Likewise, they were very quiet when we put them under a lot of pressure and that's what we'll try and do this weekend."
