Ulster's Jono Gibbes is in talks with French club La Rochelle about talking over the Head Coach role.
The BBC have reported that Gibbes held talks with the Top 14 side.
Gibbes had already announced he was returning to his native New Zealand to coach Waikato.
He said that he wanted to return home to be closer to his family after a long period in Europe.
The former international will take charge of Ulster on Sunday as they take on Ospreys in a European play-off game.
Dan McFarland has already been confirmed as the man to replace Gibbes in the Kingspan dugout next season.
