The South African star had been replaced by Greg Jones at half-time of the win in Glasgow on Friday amid concerns that the issue could be serious enough to bring an early end to his Ulster career, ahead of his move to the Bulls this summer.
However, the province have confirmed that the problem is a thigh muscle contusion (bruise) and Coetzee's availability will be assessed as the week progresses.
There are no other fresh injury concerns ahead of Friday's game (kick-off 8pm).
