Ulster secure bonus point win against Zebre

Zebre 17 - 40 Ulster

By Jonathan Bradley

Ulster took maximum points from Sunday afternoon's trip to Zebre but were far from impressive over the course of a 40-17 win in Parma.

The game began as planned with quick-fire scores through Chris Henry and Ruan Pienaar but from there it was a slog, Ulster only pulling away after Zebre dominated for over half an hour.

The bottom side scored 10 straight points to trail by only four at the half, but Ulster ran in four second-half scores, with Stuart Olding, Jacob Stockdale, Robbie Diack and debutant David Busby all crossing the whitewash.

Despite the error-strewn showing, the end result was a third straight bonus-point win for the side who now sit five points behind Scarlets who occupy the last of the PRO12's play-off spots.
