The wing sustained a rib injury early in the late defeat to Edinburgh last Friday and will not make the panel for the Pro 14 clash in Wales this weekend.

Gilroy went on an early burst with just six minutes gone at Kingspan Stadium last week but it came at a cost as the man who scored a hat-trick of tries against Southern Kings a week previous sustained an injury.

Gilroy's absence from the panel is a bitter blow to Head Coach Jonno Gibbes, who is left to sweat on fly-half Jonny McPhillips. He left with his arm in a sling on Friday evening but has not yet been ruled out.

Neither has Rob Herring, who who left out of Ireland's training squad with an elbow issue.
