Victory would be perfect parting gift to Ulster: Christian

By Jonathan Bradley

Christian Leali'ifano is determined to leave Ulster on a high and steer the side into the last eight of Europe in his last game for the province.

Ulster take on Wasps at Coventry's Ricoh Arena tomorrow (3.15pm), knowing that a win will see them back in the quarter-finals for the first time since 2014.

And with Leali'ifano set to return to the Brumbies in his Australia homeland after the game, he wants to make sure he finishes with a bang.

"Ideally, it would be nice to get the team through into a quarter-final in Europe and set the team up to move forward in a good place," said the player who missed yesterday's captain's run through illness but is still expected to start.

Only contracted until the summer, he hasn't ruled out an Ulster return in the future, having played 15 games for the province.

"It is somewhere I will definitely look to explore in the future. Whether everything works out or those opportunities arise, you never know, but hopefully one day," he added.
