Ulster are riding on the crest of a wave at the minute having secured a spot in the Champions Cup quarter finals for the first time in five years, and Faddes would be an astute addition to the squad.

For those of you who haven't heard of the Kiwi yet, here's his career stats so far:

Age: 27 years old

Nationality: New Zealander

Position: Wing / Centre

Height: 6 ft 1 in

Weight: 207 lb

Current Club: Otago, in New Zealand's domestic Mitre 10 Cup, and the Highlanders in the International Super Rugby competition

International Career: All Blacks Sevens representative in 2013, helping them to victory in the 2013 London Sevens

Although Faddes is not believed to be Irish-qualified, the IRFU are expected to approve the deal, and with the likes of Jacob Stockdale and Will Addison being tied up with Ireland's World Cup campaign, Faddes could be the perfect addition to the team.

He has even already experienced playing at the Kingspan, having played and scored for the Barbarians against Fiji in their visit to Belfast back in November 2016.
