Wilkinson stars in Toulon win
Jonny Wilkinson's Toulon kept themselves in the driving seat for an Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final place with a 29-10 Pool Two victory over fellow French side Lyon at the Stade Felix Mayol.
The England world cup winner, who was captain for this game, only missed one kick all night and helped Toulon secure a bonus point victory to keep them top of the group and two points ahead of nearest rivals Newcastle.
Wilkinson's deft inside pass led to number eight Leonardo Senatore crossing for the critical try which gave Toulon a 10-3 lead at half-time, with wing Benjamin Lapeyre crossing for a brace of tries in this comfortable victory.
Toulon, who reached the final of this competition in 2010 only to lose to the Cardiff Blues, travel to Italy to face part-timers Petrarca rugby and have to win in Padova next weekend to secure their place in the knockout stages.
