Rugby World Cup: England v France

England manager Martin Johnson named Jonny Wilkinson at fly-half and Toby Flood at inside centre for the Rugby World Cup quarter-final against France.

Flood took over from Mike Tindall for his first Test start in the 12 jersey since the 2010 Six Nations while number eight Nick Easter, lock Tom Palmer and wing Mark Cueto all returned to the starting line-up.

France, who spent the week in an apparent state of disarray following their defeat to Tonga, recalled prop Nicolas Mas and number eight Imanol Harinordoquy for the Eden Park showdown.

At stake was a semi-final against Wales, who had earlier beaten Ireland 22-10 in a thrilling Wellington encounter.
