Belfast Telegraph Born2Run at Minnowburn - full results, pictures and video
The first of this season's eight Run Forest Run events got under way on Saturday at Belfast's Mary Peters Track, home of Northern Ireland Athletics.
More than 800 runners pounded the riverside route, which covers track, forest trail, and country road, taking the athletes through National Trust property at Minnowburn and back along the banks of the Lagan.
Organiser Carol McMenamin said: "It's been a fantastic start to this year's series, with a record number of people participating in the forest run at the weekend - and raising much-needed funds for our chosen charity, Alzheimer's Research UK."
Kelly Neely was first across the finish line in the 5K, with Mark Harvey second, while in the 10K Kent Swann came in first, and Vincent McKenna second. Amy Bulman of Willowfield Harriers was the first woman to cross the line in the 10K, in sixth place overall.
Living up to its slogan 'Great Races In Great Places', the next Run Forest Run race takes place at Drum Manor Forest Park in Cookstown on November 18.
