Drum Manor – Saturday 18th November 2017

Race information for the Drum Manor 5K and 10K run.

Venue: Drum Manor Forest Park, Drum Road, Cookstown BT80 9RT

Race Starts: 11.00am (5K starts shortly after 10K).

A welcome addition to the Belfast Telegraph Run Forest Run series last year the hidden gem of Drum Manor Forest Park, Cookstown is the second race in the Winter Series.

Drum Manor is the most centrally located Forest Park in the Province lying immediately south of the Sperrin Mountains and west of Lough Neagh.

The race route, predominantly on forest trails, weaves its way through the estate. Drum Manor is colourful in Autumn with a shrub, butterfly and Japanese garden, arboretum, ponds and mixed woodlands.

Entry Fees

Online (before 11pm on 15th November 2017) and for option of posting out race pack (before 11pm Wednesday 8th November 2017):

5K & 10K race: £20 (plus £3 if postal option chosen NI & £4 ROI)

Early Bird offer of £18 if you register before 11pm on Wednesday 18th October 2017.

Registration Confirmation

Confirmation of your race entry will be sent to you automatically via email from Eventbrite after your payment is made. If you choose the option to have your Race Pack posted out to you before the day then this should arrive with you no later than the Wednesday prior to race day. Otherwise your race number and chip timing will be given to you at Registration on the morning of the race.

Terms & Conditions

By entering the race you will be bound by the event disclaimer which you agreed to at time of registration. 

Refunds are not available once entry has been completed. Runners are permitted to transfer entry to a family member/friend if they email Born 2 Run Events with the details prior to the on-line entry closing date. (Transfer of entry to another event is not available). Full Terms & Conditions are available to view at time of entry on the Eventbrite Registration website.

Event Registration

Race packs can be collected on the day from the Registration Area which will be clearly signposted from the car park.

5K & 10K Race: Saturday 18th November 2017

9.00am – 10.30am

Parking

There is limited parking at Drum Manor Forest so please car share where possible. There is a Council operated car park close by. Please follow marshals directions to the allocated parking area for runners.

Start/Finish Area

Close to the Registration Building.  Look out for the inflatable BORN2RUN gantry.

Pets

Strictly no pets.

Water Stations

As this is a Winter race there will be no water station so please carry water with you if required.

Toilet Facilities

Close to Registration and Portaloos.

Post Race Refreshments

Hydration station at finish line. Complimentary refreshments will be served in the registration area at approximately 12noon.

Prizegiving

Time: 12 noon.

5K & 10K Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female Finishers. 

Category Prizes will only be awarded at the end of the Series to runners who completed 6 out of 8 races. 

Six quickest race results will be used if more than 6 races completed. 

Footwear

The course is a mixture of tarmac and forest paths. Running shoes are suitable for all the terrain on the 10K route.
