Allen sets up clash with World U21 champion after whitewash

Mark Allen cruised to a 4-0 victory over Sydney Wilson to set up a second round clash with World Under 21 champion Boonyarit Keattikun at the Coral Welsh Open in Cardiff.

The Thai starlet had a superb 4-1 win over Dublin's 1997 World champion Ken Doherty yesterday.

Ulsterman Allen was never really troubled by his Essex opponent - who is ranked number 104 in the world - and will fancy his chances of a good run in the £366,000 event.

Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan beat Tom Ford 4-1 to set up a clash with Mark Davis.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old Welsh schoolboy says it feels "unreal" to have reached the second round of the tournament, his first professional event.

Jackson Page, who beat Jason Weston 4-3, attends Ebbw Fawr Learning Community in Ebbw Vale.

"School let me have whatever time off I want because they know there could be a career in it," he said.

"When that black went in, I didn't know what to feel. It was just unreal."
