Trump comes into the tournament in top form having won last week's World Open in China.
Five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan - beaten 9-7 in last year's Belfast final by Trump - has drawn Oliver Lines, with that match to take place either on Monday (7pm) or Tuesday (7pm).
The full format will be confirmed on Friday, following the conclusion of this week's group stages of the Champion of Champions tournament at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Northern Ireland wildcards Patrick Wallace and Robbie McGuigan will go head-to-head in a preliminary round match on Monday (7pm).
Other top stars in action over the first two days include John Higgins, Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy and Jimmy White.
The £405,000 tournament runs from November 11 to 17 with a top prize of £70,000 up for grabs.
