Northern Ireland's Mark Allen has been knocked out of the Welsh Open by China's Mei Xiwen.

The world number 10 from Antrim was beaten by his Chinese opponent, who is ranked number 80, at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.

The game was level at 2-2 but Mei Xiwen knocked in breaks of 55 and 50 to win the next two frames.
