Talking about our Gala Sports Awards night, AP McCoy, the star winner from last year said:

“It was a great honour for me to win the Belfast Telegraph Sports Star of the Year and very special to receive it back on home territory with my brother, sisters and ma’ in the audience. Having one of my childhood heroes, goalkeeper Pat Jennings presenting the trophy made the night even more memorable. A really fantastic evening and an honour to be in the room with such a huge array of sporting talent both past and present.”
