Classy Djokovic reigns in Japan
World No.1 Novak Djokovic secured his 76th tour-level title by beating John Millman in straight sets at the Japan Open.
The Serbian had not played since he retired with a shoulder injury in the fourth round of the US Open last month but, on his tournament debut in Tokyo, stormed to a 6-3 6-2 win over the Australian.
"I didn't drop a set, so I played a fantastic tournament," said Djokovic.
At the China Open, Austrian Dominic Thiem fought back from a set down to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-6 6-4 6-1 to secure his fourth title of the season.
The pair met five times last year, with Thiem winning three as his record over the Greek continued.
Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka rallied to come from a set down to beat World No.1 Ashleigh Barty in an enthralling China Open final.
The Japanese World No.4 came through 3-6 6-3 6-2 to win her second title in a row, having also triumphed at the Pan Pacific Open in September.
