Murray and Soares double up their title efforts
Jamie Murray and Brazilian partner Bruno Soares, the No.5 seeds, booked their place in the fourth round of the men's doubles after cruising past brothers Neal and Ken Skupski.
Winning 6-3 6-4 6-4, Murray and Soares wrapped up victory in 1h 41m to retain their status as the highest seeds left in the draw.
Murray reached the final with John Peers in 2015, while Soares has yet to progress beyond the quarter-final stage.
Despite requiring medical treatment early on in the first set, Murray looked in top form as he harassed the Skupski brothers with his lightning-fast reactions.
One close-quarter interchange, coming midway through the second set, saw the ball whizz back and forth between Murray and Ken Skupski before the former settled the matter with a deliciously angled return.
Soares helped dominate proceedings through his service.
Having already won the Australian Open and US Open together, Murray and Soares' quest for a first men's doubles title at Wimbledon marches on.
