Ulster trio named in Ireland line-up for Home Nations
Three Ulster players have been selected for the annual Home Nations tournament which takes place in Glasgow next weekend. Peter Corrie and Jordan McKeown will feature at U18 level, while Freddy Murray has been included in the line-up in the U14 category.
All three players clinched their place in the Irish team after impressive performances in the recent Irish Junior Championship at Fitzwilliam in Dublin.
Corrie lifted the U18 title for the first time, beating McKeown in the final, while Murray was runner-up in the U14 showpiece.
Hilden ace Corrie has had a terrific season having also made his debut for Ireland at the European U18 Championship when he beat an opponent with a much higher world ranking.
McKeown, who is set to take over the Irish No.1 spot next year when Corrie joins the senior ranks, has also impressed after becoming the first player to be crowned Ulster Senior and Junior Open champion in the same year.
England return to the Home Nations line-up and will be joined by Ireland, Scotland and Wales at the tournament, scheduled for September 8-10.
