Holders Waringstown are the first team through to Finals Day in the Lagan Valley Steels T20 Cup after beating Carrickfergus last night by seven wickets.

They also needed CIYMS to defeat Lisburn to confirm their top-two slot in Group B, but that was the first match to finish thanks to Ireland's Mark Adair's unbeaten 39 from just 13 balls.

After bowling out the visitors for 85, CI romped home in the ninth over by nine wickets, with Adair, who couldn't bowl but had his first innings of the season for the league champions, hitting two fours and four sixes.

North Down will confirm their semi-final slot if they beat Civil Service North at Comber tonight after Shane Getkate led Instonians to victory at Muckamore.

SCORES - Belmont: Lisburn 85 (20 overs, R Simpson 22; O Pienaar 3-10, A Coulter 3-11, J Cameron-Dow 2-12, J Matchett 2-25) CIYMS 90-1 (8.4 overs, M Adair 39 not out, J Matchett 28 not out). CIYMS won by nine wickets.

The Lawn: Carrickfergus 110-8 (20 overs, C van der Walt 22, M McCord 22; J Mitchell 2-22, P Eaglestone 2-27) Waringstown 111-3 (16.4 overs, G Thompson 52 not out, A Dennison 29; A Shetty 2-20). Waringstown won by seven wickets.

Moylena: Muckamore 142-7 (20 overs, A Adey 59, F Iqbal 34; A White 4-19) Instonians 143-1 (S Getkate 74 not out, O Metcalfe 45). Instonians won by nine wickets.
