'Superchin' Daryl Gurney defeated World Champion Rob Cross in front of a packed house at Belfast's SSE Arena on Thursday night.
The Londonderry man bested Cross 7-5 in their Premier League Darts clash.
Gurney thrilled the crowd in his home nation coming from two sets down to take the win in the thriller.
It is a second straight win for Gurney after a difficult start to his maiden Premier League season.
He is the first player from Northern Ireland to take part in the competition.
At the halfway point of the Premier League Gurney remains in 7th position after tonight's victory.
He is one point off the playoffs but four clear of the relegation zone.
Speaking after the victory Gurney paid tribute to the crowd.
"If Carlsberg did Premier League nights," he said.
"A really big win for me and I needed those nine maximums to beat Rob.
"But the atmosphere and support was simply epic.
"Belfast I simply can’t thank you enough. You were amazing. I won’t ever forget it."
