A deadly grudge

The gang of UDA women who used sticks and bricks to beat helpless Anne Ogilby to death had sentenced her to death at a kangaroo court.

Anne — who had given birth to her fourth child just eight weeks earlier – suffered 24 blows to the head and body with a blunt object — 14 of which caused a “severe fracture to the bulk of the skull”.

The murder occurred in July 1974 but had been planned months earlier.
