Christine Lampard puts tot before This Morning gig
Chrstine Lampard won't be rushing to join Phillip Schofield on the This Morning sofa as she's planning on concentrating on motherhood.
The Northern Irish TV presenter is set to give birth to her first child with husband Frank Lampard any day now.
This Morning bosses had been desperate to sign up the 39-year-old to step in for Holly Willoughby later this year.
They had hoped Christine would cut short maternity leave short to return to the screen when Holly goes Down Under for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for around six weeks from November.
But Christine is adamant she doesn't want to make any decisions about work until she sees how she adapts to parenthood. She finished working on Loose Women and Lorraine at the end of August as she prepared to become a mum.
An insider close to Christine told Sunday Life: "Christine loves working with Phil and being on This Morning and usually she would jump at the chance for this opportunity. But this is her first child and she has no idea what it's going to be like when the baby is born. Her friends have all warned her how full on it is and not to put too much pressure on herself."
Holly is taking a break from the ITV daytime show to step in for Ant McPartlin, who has taken a year off work to deal with his addiction issues.
