Derry's stats "have been depressing": Cassidy

When Derry last lost an Ulster Senior Football Championship match at Celtic Park back in 1994, Damian Cassidy was a creative half-forward in their side while Paddy O’Rourke had just recently brought the curtain down on his glittering career with triumphant visitors Down.

Today both wear their managers’ bibs as Derry seek to end their Championship famine by getting the better of an Armagh side that has made a habit of claiming the provincial crown regularly in the past decade.In contrast, Derry have been conspicuous by their absence from the Ulster podium since their last title triumph in 1998 — and that clearly rankles with their long-suffering supporters.
