The second series of crime serial drama, Hope Street, began filming in the County Down seaside town of Donaghadee

The cast of Hope Street have been spotted back filming the second series of the BBC show in Donaghadee. The first series ended in a tense cliffhanger, but the show is promising to return with gripping storylines, intriguing characters and stunning settings.

Ciaran McMenamin, who plays Inspector Finn O’Hare, is returning to the second series, as well as Brid Brennan, Des McAleer, Rachel Tucker and Kerri Quinn.

Ciaran said: “I’m over the moon to be on the Hope Street beat again. It was touch-and-go for Finn at the end of last season, but I’m glad to say he’ll be back where he belongs, dealing with the unique challenges thrown at them by all your old favourites, along with a motley crew of wonderful new characters.

“I couldn’t be happier to be back home in Northern Ireland for the shoot this summer. The new scripts are brilliant and, sure, where would you rather be?”

There will also be some new faces appearing in the fictional town of Port Devine, including Stephen Hagan, Sade Malone and Sophie Robinson.

Hope Street is set to return later this year, with the first series available on BBC iPlayer.
