Ulster are bang on target for a Heineken Cup rugby quarter-final place after a brilliant, snow-defying, 26-22 win over Bath yesterday.
That sets up a blockbuster Ravenhill crunch match against French rivals Biarritz on January 15.
Coach Brian McLaughlin’s team made it to the West Country against all odds in snowbound conditions. They were also without key men Stephen Ferris and skipper Rory Best.
But man of the match Ian Humphreys’ perfect six out of six kicks for a 16 points haul, means Ulster’s fate is in their own hands as they bid to reach the tournament’s last eight for the first time since being crowned European champions in 1999.
