Heal deliver

Rangers-daft David Healy was last night backed to grab Scottish Cup glory in today’s Old Firm fifth round battle against Celtic at Ibrox (12.15pm).

Northern Ireland goalscoring legend Healy (31) is likely to start on the bench. But, as a lifelong Gers fan, he will be itching to get on for a dream debut after his move from Sunderland.

And Northern Ireland and Rangers team-mate Steven Davis believes the stage is set for Healy to relaunch his club and international career in style ahead of Wednesday’s Carling Nations Cup tie with Scotland in Dublin.

“There is no better finisher out there,” Davis insisted. “I've played with him for a number of years with Northern Ireland and for six months at Fulham. He's a really, really good finisher. If we create chances he will be sniffing around the box and put them away.”
