Hurricane set to make flying visit

Ulster-owned Champion Hurdler Hurricane Fly will make a special appearance at Downpatrick races today following his sensational victory at Cheltenham earlier this month.

The horse claimed a thrilling victory on day one of the festival under jockey Ruby Walsh who would appear to be the man to follow at today’s meeting as he has two possible winners for trainer Jim Lambe.

These are Breeze With Ease who is well fancied for the Down GAA Novice Handicap hurdle after having finished second at Wexford, and Knocklayde Euro who was third at the St Patrick’s Day Down Royal meeting and who runs in the Bet With The Tote handicap chase.
